Volume Two: Civilizations Tested through Human Constants.
About the Book
Volume Two of Traces of Human Constants in History is the first direct and detailed stage in the study of historical civilizations through the framework developed in Volume One.
The volume begins with the Elamite civilization. Choosing Elam as the first case study makes it possible to examine a civilization that developed between the Iranian plateau and Mesopotamia, and that faced survival, connection, meaning, order, competition, and external pressure throughout its history.
It examines processes of formation, power, pressure, resilience, decline, and civilizational readjustment. The framework then extends to ancient Egypt, the Achaemenids, ancient Greece, Rome, and the Middle Ages.
The purpose is not to prove the theory solely through one historical example. As the book states, Elam is not proof of the theory but its first test. The framework's validity must be strengthened through examination and comparison of different civilizations, or revised where inconsistency is found.
